In the final stages of choosing my first build and I've been a watching every video going on youtube and I need to choose a GPU to slot into this build. TechDeals reccomends a 1060 3Gb, others say a 1050ti and with the mining craze and the fact I'm UK not US I have no Idea what I should be spending on a GPU and which is the right one for me! I'm looking to keep the budget around the £1200 mark inc. monitor so I have ~£550 to spend on GPU and a monitor but if spending a bit more now means it will last longer then I'm ok with that I just want what every gamer wants which is value for my money. I plan on AAA gaming, bit of DotA 2 and some CAD work thus the R5 instead of a R3

The Vega 56 that launches tomorrow is gonna be $399 so hopefully may be able to get one at £310.

I want to get as much as possible from Scan.co.uk as they have a good finance option for me and their prices are similar to the above.

The 500Gb WD Blue SSD is an extravagence but its in a deal that includes a copy of Wildlands which equates to about £40 off as I was going to be buying that anyway.

Any advice on which is the best GPU to go with this build would be fantastic. Oh and monitors too :P

The first thing you should decide is the resolution and refresh rate you are looking for on your monitor.
That will correlate to what GPU you should buy to push that resolution and framerate and how you will need to divide up your remaining money

CPU- i5 4670K CPU Cooler- Corsair H90 MB- MSI Z87 GD-45 RAM- 16gb G.Skill Ripjaws Case- NZXT Phantom 530

PSU- Corsair CX750M Cooler- Corsair H90 Boot Drive- Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

Storage-WD 1TB Blue Storage- Seagate 2TB

I am trying to decide, but I'm not sure which is the best for my money. Various people say 1080p is becoming superceded by 1440p. Is it smarter to go better gpu and monitor now e.g. a 1070/Vega 56 and a 1440p monitor or go cheaper and get a 1080p with a 1050ti or a 1060 3gb or 6gb?

Plus Vega has Freesync and G-sync is waaayyy out of my price range so I think I'd rather go for that, is it overkill for a 1080p?

I'm gonna go for the WD Blue as I said cos of the free Wildlands, but do you reckon 2Tb is needed for the HDD??

And I'll stick with the CoolerMaster case, its going to sit on top of my desk so I'm happy to spend a little more and I like the all black.

Is there any significant benefit of a fully-modular PSU compared to the semi-modular one I chose?

And RAM I was going to just get the cheapest that works in the ASrock with >DDR4-3000 for when I order.
