Computer Not Booting

Hey Guys,

 

I have an old pc lying around and i decided to take out the parts inside and dust it off. I took out everything and cleaned everything and put them back together. Once i connected back to the monitor, it shows a black screen and nothing else. 

 

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Does it post? Any signs of life?

Yes, it definitely runs. But nothing on the monitor.

Is there any disk activity? Are the RAM sticks properly seated?

Yes both are working fine

Is there a chance that it could be the cpu?

I mean the screen's black there's no logo, nothing.

Well, if there's disk activity, it's probably booting just fine. Maybe it's the GPU? Does it have a dedicated GPU?

Well the disk seems to be running just fine, I can't find anything wrong with it

No there's no gpu in it, it's an old system, was my grandpa's. It was mainly use for web browsing and light working.

Pentium dual core 

A 2 gb ram 

And a 350gb hard drive

Hmm, well I don't know. Monitor is plugged in and set to the correct input source?

When I power on the system, the display turns on from standby mode, so I think it is connected properly.

Btw I just touched the hard drive and the disk in it seems to be running. So when u asked disk activity, I'm not sure if that is enough to validate it.
