NVIDIA Control Panel Refresh Rate Resetting

Go to solution Solved by Gungpae,

Make sure DP Format on your monitor settings are set to DP 1.2

I was changing some other settings in NVIDIA Control Panel, and then I noticed the refresh rate was set to 100. I am sure I once set it to 144hz, but I continued to change it to 144, not thinking too much. After clicking apply and then yes when it asks if I want to keep the settings, 2 seconds later the screen freezes for half a second, and it went back to 100. I tried restarting the computer, nope. I tried using a lower refresh rate (tried 85 and 120), but still goes back to 100.
