Hello,

So today i booted up my pc only to find i got a black image, the monitor was working but just showed a black screen. After testing the monitor, cable etc i pinpoined the problem down to the gpu. If i unplug the gpu and use the onboard graphics everything is fine. But with the gpu nothing works.

So i was wondering if somoene has had this problem or knows how to fix it.

Or is my gpu dead and should i look into warranty.

The gpu is a msi gtx 1070 armor 8g.Thank you in advance.

If you have fast boot enabled in the bios go into the bios and turn on csm and legacy and see if you get anything.  My rx480 did the same thing last week after a driver update.  windows 10 is weird sometimes.

let me try

I randomly get black screens as well but I also got those when overclocking my RAM on a Ryzen system that was under very random circumstances.
Fixed it temp by resetting the resolution of my main screen(using my 2nd screen) or rebooting.
And then went into BIOS to slightly increase my volts on VDDCR COY abd CDDCR SOC.

It seems a trending problem these last few weeks, I have the exact same problem with a sapphire R9 270x, it started after the last windows update, tried almost everything from the small bit of information about it I found in Google, and just fixed it a bit ago, my best guess is something in the last update is forcing the use of integrated graphics

Here's what I did:

I used Crome's remote desktop to see the desktop without using the integrated graphics, then went to device manager/display and disabled the integrated graphics

Inmediatly displayed correctly again

It should probably work for Intel's IG+Nvidia too
