So I am currently building up my PC and my initial plan was to run a pure hardline bend loop (fittings only on hardware). However, this got a lot more complicated than I thought it would be so I resorted myself to use 90 degrees fittings instead of bends on most places. Problem is, the initial 20xBitspower multi-link I bought are 14mm OD, while the 90 degrees bitspower offer either come off stock (G1/4 adapters only) or with 12mm OD fittings attached for a few extra bucks. Right now, the build is on hold. I'm at the point were I need to make the tubing, so it technically doesnt change anything to change tubing size. So I have 2 options:

1) Stay at 14mm OD and buy the extra fittings missing (since the adapters come stock). That would basically mean to buy: 18xMulti-link, 3x90 degrees with 1xG1/4 - 1xING1/4 and 14x90 degrees with dual ING1/4. Total investment would be about 420$.

2) Switch to 12mm OD and buy everything over and resell the 12mm stuff. That would mean to buy: 9xMulti-link, 3x90 degrees with 1xG1/4 - 1xMulti and 14x90 degrees with dual multi. Total investment would be about 390$ (a bit less if you consider the resell of the 20x14mm OD multi-links).

CPU: Intel Core i9-10900K  MOBO: ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA GPU: 2080ti Hall of Fame 10th anniversary limited edition  PSU: Asus ROG THOR 1200W  COOLER: Optimus foundation black acetal RADS: 3x EKWB CoolStream PE 360  LOOP: EKWB torque HDC fittings / EKWB ZMT 15,9/9,5mm / EKWB CryoFuel Clear MONITOR: Acer predator X34

personally i would go with the thicker tubing because flow but you will be fine with the 12mm tubing.

Were talking about going down from 14 to 12mm OD here. Someone posted a formula once about that but I cant remember where. I dont know if the impact is that big.
