Vive trackpad issue

Hey guys, I have the apparently common Trackpad click issue on my 3 vive controllers. I would normally just sent them in to get worked on, but I have an event that I am taking the vive to that is happening sooner than they could return them.

Because of this I am thinking about just fixing it myself, but I am wondering;

1) is there any other common known vive controller issue that is covered under warranty? I am worried that I will open the controller (voiding the warranty) and then need a repair in a few months.

2) if I fixed it myself how long would it last? I already had one of the controllers repaired a few months ago and it is already broken again. Is there a way to fix it permanently so that it won't stop working again?
