Tablet games for a boring couple of hours

Have to go to a "party" tomorrow for my grandma's birthday (only family going to be there)

Going to be there hours on end with nothing at all to do (I have no interest in talking to any of my family for very long)

So I'm going to take my dad's nexus 7 to keep myself semi-entertained instead of sitting in the corner being grumpy.

 

So I need some decent free games and would love some suggestions....

I never use tablets or smart phones so I'm alien to games available....

Get some sort of emulator and have fun with old console games :)

Kingdom Rush. Pretty standart Tower Defense game.

I should learn reading. Sry it's not free :(

Some games are worth paying I would get Kingdom Rush or Bloons 5 TD I think I already got it  :)

I would honestly leave it in the car if I were you. I went with my parents yesterday to a thanksgiving party that their friends were hosting. It consisted of 90% over 25, my sister, me and maybe 4 other kids we didn't know were under 20. We didn't talk to any of those under 20. If you know some of your family there, just hang around with them and listen to the many stories they will have to tell. It can be really funny and interesting at times. Also, people might look down on you for not wanting to socialize with your family at a gathering like that. Just my $0.02

 

EDIT: seems like this is much smaller than the one I was at. Might as well answer while I'm here. Simple Rockets Free is kind of like Kerbal Space Program and is pretty entertaining, there's also Simple Physics from the same developer but I havent tried that one yet.

I played GBA games on my Galaxy W without rooting. Can found it easily in google play.

Kingdom Rush and Kingdom Rush Frontiers, by god play them! Best games across any platform (iOS, Android). Wasted hours on those games- top-notch gameplay and graphics. It's tower defense, but awesomely done, as someone who hated the genre before can attest to.

 

Right now they're on 66% Black Friday sale, I can't recommend them enough!

 

Wow, I second the guy up there. It's not free, sorry!! Other than that, I only game iOS, so I don't know about Android.
