Graphics card not being recognized by F@H

Well, I wanted to start folding with my 7770 that I had lying around. I put it in my PC (I have both AMD and NVIDIA drivers installed) and while Speccy picks it up, Folding@home doesn't. First time folder here. :)

Do you see the card in the F@H program? If not try and add it in manually.

 

Go to configure -> slots -> add -> GPU

Okay. It's strange that it picked up my 770 immediately though. Should I fold while waiting with my CPU?

It will detect its there but it will be about 10-20 minutes before it gets its shit together and starts folding.

Thanks. Now that everything is recognized, both of my GPUs are waiting for idle while the processor is running. What do I do to make the GPUs run?

Set the slider all the way to full.

You could if you want every single points squeezed out of your system, but I think the 770 and 7770 should be enough.

I was going to put my 620 back in mine, but I don't have another x16 slot (and don't want to cut my x1 slot) and my PSU couldn't handle it..

I crashed 3 times already xD maybe it's because I'm trying to open the Protein Viewer using a system at full load.

Ha...the Protein Viewer is fun to look at for a bit but then it gets old. But it hasen't worked for me a while and I'm too lazy to find out how to make it work.

To me the big issue here is that you are running Nvidia drivers and AMD drivers. thats asking for trouble IMO

I have never had conflicting issues with graphics drivers.
