overclocking 980

Go to solution Solved by T0MMEN,

So guys, i found a solution. Ive had this "old" coolermaster zeion 120m or whatever. I ghetto mounted it using zipties. Guess what, the overclock works, temps are even better. Ill send that crappy astec cooler back.

So here is the story, i bought a in win 101. My gpu got too hot in this case. So i ordered a 3rd party cooler from antec.

I used to have +125core and +300 on the memory.

Now i get (cant remember what its called) but wierd stuff going on when im playing for instance PUBG. So i had to take the clock away. Now im running at stock speeds and everything is fine. But why is that ?

I thought the preformerence should have been better.

Im running at 56c at load and 34 at idle.

Before i installed the 3rd party cooler i was around 84c at load and 46 at idle.

Im thinking the vram is getting too hot ? But i have a 80mm fan blowing directly at the vram. Its so strange imo.
