Questions about receivers

Go to solution Solved by johnt,

Get it. These receivers always go on sale. It's the standard for home theaters and I do not mean cheap. Denon packs everything into the 4000 series that's possible. Anything about this model only adds DSP channels (more speakers with fake sounds).

But do yourself a favor and never pay attention to the power ratings from big name companies. They mean nothing.

Does the Denon 4300H support these?

HDMI: 3D / 4K / CEC / ARC / InstaPrevue
Enhanced Audio Return Channel
HLG / Dolby Vision

On their website it doesn't specify whether or not they do, and it's on sale for $799 right now, so it's cheaper than the 3400H which is $999 and it has 125 watts per channel instead of 3400H's 105 watts per channel.

Also will the 4300H work with Amazon Alexa?

do you think an extra 20 watts per channel is really going to come across when you plug a speaker into it? lol

Heck I've had receivers that are 50 watts per channel that are better than some 200watts channel receivers. it's not really the wattage that matters it's how it's applied.

Well if I ever want to add the ceiling speakers, it's worth it having those extra channels for dolby atmos and dts:x isn't it? I already have a 7.1 setup. I can't find ANY 9.2 channel receiver for 799 besides that one right now, since it just went on sale, it's normally 1499.

I mean you get what you pay for , I'd sooner have a decent quality 7.1 system than the cheapest 9.2 system I could possibly find.

I wouldn't think so , unless you're running an omnimax setup I can't imagine why you'd go for such an overly complex setup.

If they are desperate enough to HALVE the price , it really goes to show just how well that product is doing and just how many people are interested in it.

Well it's 1099 most places, it's 1499 retail, and it's 799 on sale. Plus reviews say this is a great receiver.
