So guys, i'm thinking about buying an SSD, but i know very little about the technology...what is TLC and MLC, and wich one is best? Here in Portugal, i can buy an Samsung 840 250GB TLC for 150€, or an Samsung 840 256GB MLC for about 200€.

For price reasons, i would go with the TLC one, but is that a good decision? Thanks in advance!

Instead of me writing some long thing, here is an explanation - http://www.centon.com/flash-products/chiptype

Basically the difference when it comes down to it is that the regular 840 had good read speeds but slower write speeds than the 840 Pro however for an average user this has little to no impact. If it's just for day to day use, go the 840. If it's for high performance use such as a scratch disk, go the 840 Pro.
