I am thinking of buying the new Samsung Conect wifi (home/pro haven't decided which yet) but I'm not interested in investing in a new whole home wifi system. I just upgraded to a Linksys max steam ac5400 router with an ac1900 extender last year and wasting all that money I spent just to put in a new equally as expensive system is not something I'm ready to do. But I am interested in a smart things hub and the new Samsung router has one built in so im like I might as well add onto my wifi while im at it.

Here is is my question. Will it work? So I know the new Samsung connect home/pro can be used as a stand alone router if you want but will it work as an access point on an existing non Samsung network? Will it cause any problems? Will there be compatible issues? Will the built in smart things hub even work if I set it up as an access point / extender? Am I just being stubborn and should I just resign myself to parting with my money?

Help me I need answers!!!!

Well I already have 2 different smart lighting systems and a nest thermostat system and I plan on adding ring in the near future. The thing is my 2 smart lighting systems aren't compatible with each other but they should both be compatible with smart things.

my real question was since I'm not planning on replacing my entire wifi system with samsung connect I'd need at least the 3 pack in my home. And I'd be just be adding it on to my existing system as an access point would that cause problems?
