My philosophy is if something is responsible for holding up a decently expensive piece of equipment (Here a microphone) - It will cost a lot more to replace both a broken mic and arm if in worst case scenario it fell and broke it would cost a lot more than any money saved from cheaping out. A good arm should last years, the Rode PSA-1 may be slight overkill but it is worth investing decently to get a sturdy peace of kit for long lasting reliability and peace of mind.
