So one day I went into MSI afterburner and noticed that all the settings were at 0 and I could not change anything, so I restarted my computer and the same thing, so then I reinstalled MSI afterburner and the AMD drivers and the same thing, so I went to the normal radeon settings and the card is being super touchy and it will not let me turn the fans on mainly anymore, just stays at 0 RPM even if I try to run them at max and ever since all this the computer just seems slower and is freezing up at random

Did you buy it used or New?

Editto: Not sure if it would do anything, but try using ASUS' GPU Tweak II, maybe that will show you the things you can change.

If you need help on used parts, contact me. I'm an used enthusiast.

Open the spoiler to see some cool stuff!

What RX480 is it? Give us a model number. There is a higher chance of finding a fix then.

Also since this started to happen games have been crashing on me and for some weird reason the hard drive activity LED on my case is almost always on now showing that the hard drive is doing something but that last one could be nothing

480 owner here. i see that youre on 17.7.2. that is your issue. msi ab wont work with the newest driver, so youll either have to wait for 17.8.1 or roll back.

Ok that makes sense but then still why won't it work right even in Radeon settings and i'm having problems with games crashing all of a sudden too

No just settings not taking, games keep crashing and saying they are out of video memory even simple games such as Team Fortress 2 and all and all just worse performance, so much for 17.7.2 being the best update yet
