Is this raid config allowed because I'm having issues?

So basically,

- I installed a 120GB SSD

- I put my two 500GB HDD's in RAID 0 (they are the same HDD's both formatted) 

- On start-up half way through the windows logo animation it freezes and shows a blue screen with code and restarts. 

- I take off the RAID config and my PC starts up freely.

 

Is this raid config allowed or does the raid config have to be linked to the OS for this to work?
