that's probably why your front header isn't working. In order to get audio out through the front i/o, your default device should be set to the onboard mobo audio device

if you mean drivers like the realtek ones then those work when there is stuff plugged in strait to my mobo but the drivers dont pick up any device in the front io when i plug it in

then there's probably something wrong with the the hd audio cable :/
