GPU Upgrade - Budget!

Hello All,

 

I currently own a GTX 770 which is a 2GB card, I am happy with this but im having a few issues now and the GPU is the problem. (It is still usable but its seen better days!

 

I do not have unlimited money unfortunately so ive been looking around for "cheap" cards. Would it be worth upgrading to a GTX 970 4GB or a GTX 1060 6GB?

A 970 or 1060 would be a pretty big jump from a gtx 770. However do note that due to mining gtx 1060s are pretty rare nowadays. Unless you can find one for msrp I would recommend trying to find a used gtx 970 or 980.

The gtx 970 or gtx 1060 would be a huge upgrade from your current GPU. The 970 and 1060 are great GPU's that will significantly boost your perfromance in terms of gaming, but make sure to find a graphics card that best suits your needs. A used gtx 970 4GB would be a great solution if your on a budget or if you want more out of your graphics card and you want to spend a little bit more on something better, then the 1060 would be a good choice.

Yes, as long as you don't pay 300$ for the 1060.

 

If you can find a used 970, go for it.

Cheers for the quick replies, my budget can go up to around £200ish (Going on holiday soon so this can change)

 

I keep getting different reviews on which is better etc. The prices because of mining are making it interesting though!
