I'm currently using the Asrock Taichi x370 motherboard with the G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Z170 Platform Desktop Memory F4-3200C16D-16GTZKW.

I'm having issues getting my ram speeds above 2400.

Trying to raise it up because my CPU (Ryzen 1700) loves higher ram speeds.

The XMP profile 2.0 doesn't work at all with my memory. I tried every speed possible and 2400 is the only one that works above the 2133 basic one.

Haven't tried to adjust the RAM Voltage above 1.35 yet.

Would appreciate any feedback/help. Thanks!

I purchased my mobo like 2 weeks ago. pretty sure its on 2.20 bios

I purchased my crosshair VI hero from asus around 3 weeks ago and it was running a bios from march.

Very recently, (end of may) there was an update released by AMD for ryzen CPUs which improved ram compatibility and overclocking. The only way to get this update is by updating the BIOS.

Try find the latest version on ASrock's website. If the version installed on your motherboard is the same, your good, otherwise update it, and your problems will probably disappear.

Don't try adding more RAM voltage yet. I only had to crank it up to 1.38v to get 3466MHz memory working.

I have no idea for ASRock motherboards. Never owned one.

Check the user manual/look online.

For mine it was basically a case of download the update file, stick it on a usb stick, then click update in the bios. Make sure the power doesn't go out while its doing the update.
