Headphone Recommendations

Hi, wanted to get your opinions because I know there's a very large insightful audiophile community here.

 

Looking to get a fairly high end set of cans, 300-600$ CAD.

Ideally open back, soft fabric cushioning (no leather), with minimal clamping pressure.

For these reasons, i was leaning towards the AKG K712 PRO.

Thoughts?

 

Edit: These would be my daily drivers, but the focus would be on music. Guitars need to sound epic.

Welp HD6xx drop just ended. You can look into K7xx/TH-X00 as well. Try the headphones in a store and see what you like best.

The clamping force on most Sennheiser pairs gives me headaches, otherwise I would probably just pick up the HD6xx's. There also aren't any stores in my city that have demos for the models I would be looking at.
