First Time comp builder question

This question is about a few things regarding the mobo and the Spec 01 case.  Do the standoffs look right to you ? In particular the middle one standoff in the middle of the board? It looks like something is sticking out of it is that normal? Also there isn't a stand off on the middle right part of the case. Is it okay if not all of the standoffs are screwed in?

 

My second question is: my screwdriver slipped and tapped the motherboard a couple of times. I don't see marks but has anyone else made this butterfingers mistake?

Alot of cases the middle standoff is actually a peg so you can mount the motherboard vertically instead of having to lay the case down to mount it. That is a peg you see. If you want, you can remove it and install a normal stand off. Your choice.

Everyone has tapped their motherboard with a screwdriver at one point or another. The only real way to check for damage is to boot it up.
