Opinion/Cable help

Hi! I would like to think I'm generally knowledgeable about computers but obviously there's always room for improvement. I recently bought the Razer DeathAdder, Overwatch edition, and it's time for me to make a new PC as mine is wildly out of date. That's pretty much all the inspiration I need. Down at the bottom is a PCPP link to what all I have picked out to match the mouse. I generally do a lot of gaming and would like to stream and do some video editing.

 

On top of that, I'm looking at CableMod for custom orange/black cables. Past opinions on changes that should be made to the build, I have no earthly idea of what cables I would need to fully outfit the build with appropriately colored cables. So a reply with a list of the cables would be greatly appreciated.

First off get a different CPU cooler, the T4 is not worth it compared to the stock cooler. Second get a 650W EVGA g2 PSU. I'm not sure if Cable Mod Cables work on that PSU. And get an SSD, you need more than a hard drive on that build.

 

But to answer the question here's what you need.

1x 8pin CPU power cable

1x 24pin motherboard power cable

2x 8pin PCI-E power cables

1-2x SATA cables

For the compatibility notes at the bottom, should I select a different card so I don't have to worry about space issues?

No, you just need to remove one of the hard drive cages. Also may I ask why the 850 evo over the much faster 960 evo for the SSD?

Honestly it was just the one that I clicked on after skimming the links and seeing 250 in both of them.

Ok, I mean it is up to you, not everyone needs the speed of the 960 evo, that's why I linked both.

For media editing I think speed would be the best thing. So I'm glad that you said something.

Yeah, you are right, if you do file transfers the 960 evo is what you want. The 960 EVO is almost 5x as fast.
