I'm going to make a pcpartpicker list once I get back home.

My planned hardware:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

Mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4

Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 750ti SC

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2933MHz 16GB (2x8GB)

PSU: EVGA 550-N1 550w

Case: In Win 101

Cooling: Corsair H100i

Would you guys recommend a 128gb or a 256gb SSD?

I'm considering buying 2 of Corsair's high static pressure fans for the radiator and 1 high airflow fan for the exhaust. I think this would leave 3 fan spaces at the bottom of the case. Is this a good idea?

Now... My current computer is an upgraded Dell XPS 410 with a 750ti. I'm going to use the 750ti in my new PC, but that means it won't have a GPU. I might put an EVGA gt 1030 in it before I give it to my sister. Is this a good choice for light web and flash games? I'm mainly considering it because of it's low tdp.

tl;dr 128gb or 256gb SSD

Thoughts on fan placement?

GT 1030 or nah?

Any other suggestions for the new PC?

1) The h100i is a waste of 100 bucks on a ryzen system.

2) I recommend getting a 301 + AB350M pro4 instead (or a 101 with the atx version of the pro 4)

3) corsair fans in general are poor choices get vardar/gentle typhoon instead

And with all the money you saved by getting a less expensive case and no unnecessary cooler get yourself a 1050 ti and give your sis the 750 ti.  Also a 250GB ssd

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Thats way overkill for a Ryzen 5... Why spend 100$ if you can spend 30$ on a Hyper 212 Evo and get the same temps?

Thats a hell of an expensive case for the hardware your going to put inside it bro... Rather buy something less flashy and spend the leftover money on an actual good video card.

512.

Nah. Just repurpose your old 750 ti and buy a new card for your own rig.

Get a 1050 ti or whatever equivalent AMD has to offer

A) the stock cooler is on par with a 212 Evo

B) 70 buckaroos is not a bad price for TG but honestly I'd get this combo right here if possible.

Ok, didn't know that. I'm a despicable and incurable Intel/Nvidia fanboy, so I naturally don't know about all the things AMD.

That is a good price, but I'd still say rather go buy some cheap case like the Bitfenix Nova and spend the rest of your budget on stuff that matters (in terms of performance).

No, it's not. the old wraith(and probably the wraith max) is on par with the evo, not the spire.

As someone who has used both they are on par.

1. *Ahem* I was given the H100i a few months ago by a friend who didn't need it. There's no way in hell I would spend $100 for a cooler on a 65watt CPU, but I've already got it, so why not.

2. I was informed that $70 made a "budget" case...

3. I will also buy a 1tb (maybe more) hard drive to go with the SSD.

4. I have been looking at those 1050ti's, and they do seem awesome.

My budget is $600, and I was really trying to go for a red/black color scheme and a full tempered glass side panel. It's pretty much a toned down dream PC that will get me through college.

The 301 is the exact same price as the 101 on Newegg, and getting the atx pro4 would be $10 less, but without the red color scheme. IDK, but I'll compare the really nitpicky aspects of them once I get home.

Oh yeah, is there any reason why I might consider micro atx over regular atx?

Seems the 101 has some airflow direction issues that the 301 doesn't.   Other than that I thought the price delta would be more significant with the mobos.
