Hello!

I have build my rig last year (beginning of december) buing all parts from Amazon. It is based on Asus ROG X99 STRIX, i7 6800k, Gigabyte GF 1080 FE, G.Skill TridentZ F4-3200C16D and Samsung 850 EVO 500GB.
I had some problems with xHCI on my motherboard and Amazon told I can get full refound for whole rig or any part I think it is suitable to replace.
As I found, the X299 is very similar price now, so I can replace existing mobo for new (same) mobo, or have X299 STRIX + i7 7800x for ~20 quids more.
Do you think it's worth to switch? I've heard some good and some bad about X299 platform. What is actually true?

PS - photo of my beloved rig attached :P

Depends. A lot of X299 boards were having missing features when they released, and intel put some bullshit drms on the chips and other things. Go for just same mobo.
