im going to use i5 7500, which mobo should i choose from these? i'll use the pc for gaming

ASUS PRIME B250-PLUS
Asus ROG STRIX B250F GAMING

Go for the B250 boards and pick the one with the features that best suit your needs.

You'll need to update the 1xx series boards BIOS first or hope they have the latest BIOS which isn't worth it.

There shouldn't be. The main difference are the features on each board and the form factor.

No difference in performance. I guess at this point look at reviews and choose the best.

 

On a different note, what's the budget for your build? You might get better value/performance with Ryzen 1500X or something similar.

ryzen is expensive here. also im gaming only

Look at both and compare them. Does one have features you particularly like? If so, go for that one.

 

It also depends on the rest of your build. If your case is an ATX one, then going for an ATX motherboard makes more sense.

budget ,other parts, monitor, etc.
believe me if it fits my budget there will be no reason to tell you its out of my budget
