So I have decided to build a new build after I've had to deal with incredible bullshit on crossfire with AMD. I'm going for rn a 1700x, a MSI Gaming Plus x370 mobo, 8gb ddr4, a 62 dollar dual radiator water cooler, and now for the gpu.

Heres the problem.

I was gonna get RX 480 or 580, but that's near damn impossible to find. I was thinking about downgrading my mobo and cpu and getting a 1070, but I've had bad experiences with NVidia before (Believe it or not, worse then with the bs of crossfire). What should I do?

More than a 6/12 would be able to handle?

If you're playing on a 1080p monitor, I'd just go with a 1060. If you're playing on a high refresh monitor or 1440p, then I'd worry about the 1070.

Eh I don't buy the future proofing excuse. By the time it'll make a difference an upgrade to the new version of the lower cost CPU would probably make a greater difference.

Then I'd save, if you don't think you can live with 2 less cores.

I could if I would. I've spent so little on getting tech parts and such that I'm not allowed to get cheap cards, or cheaper phones, or anything that's a good deal, like an s6. I am forced to get 2nd or best.
