Strange core temp behavior

Hi,

 

i got an issue with my 3570k on my Asus P8z77-V.

 

My CPU temperature never goes above 50°C but the core tems behave very strange.

 

At idle everything appears to be quite normal:

 

But when the load kicks in thecore temps increase around 30-40°C in like 1-3 seconds (don't get irretated by the time values from task manager).

CPU temp still stays pretty chill:

 

On the cpu i mounted the Dark Rock 3 pro from bequiet so i do not think that the cooler is too weak.

 

I used to have an overclock to 4.2Ghz at 1.25V, so i reduced it to 4.0Ghz at 1.21V but the results are the same.

 

Maybe guys can help me :-)

time to delid that beast, thats either bad thermal paste application on your side your the thermal paste on the CPU die has dried off.

One thing i forgot to say, the core temps also drop at the same speed as they rise when going back from load to idle.

just to be sure, this is the case with other monitoring apps like hwmonitor right?

Yes exactly same values.

try changing the thermal paste, if that doesnt decrease the temperatures , im afraid its time to delid your cpu (you could always undervolt/ underclock but that means decreased performance)
