PWM Problems

Hello everyone,
I just bought a Laing DDC-1T PWM Special edition pump and installed it in my computer.
But I don't get how the PWM control works.
I plugged the Pump in the CPU fan header and can read out the RPM but if I change the PWM control with Speedfan nothing happens. 

The pump now runs 100% all the time and it is a bit noisy.

Do you know what I am doing wrong ? I feel like an idiot who's missing something really important.

Have you tried a different fan controller software? I've heard SpeedFan's reliability can vary quite greatly.

look in your BIOS. My preset BIOS fan curve overrides my speedfan settings. So if my mobo runs my fans at 20% I can my fan from speedfan between 20% and 100%. If my BIOS want hte fan to run at 50% at any given moment you cant go any lower than 50% in speedfan. Go in your BIOS fan settings and either make a custom fan curve if possible, if not then search for the PWM header in your BIOS that corresponds with your fan (look at the number on the pwm header on your mobo) and click on the fan speed settings on something around "silent fan mode" or similar

@Septimus whitch Software would you reccomend?
@Tiwaz My Bios is very primitive I use an old motherboard from a prebuild system ( MSI H61M-P31 G3) and I don't have a fan curve control I can only set a target fanspeed, which when I set it doesn't apply to the pump ( at least it doesn't change the speed).
In the Bios I can only set a specified speed or a target temperatur neither of which work.
