does anyone know if i can use a wii ac adapter for a wii u and if not do u know why

I believe the WiiU consumes more power than the Wii, so I don't think it will work.

looks like it doesn't work.

 

wii adapter is 12V 3.7A

wii u adapter is 15V 5A
