okay for christmas i am upgrading my pc, and basically building a new one. can you guys tell me if these parts are good enough and if there is anything better:

 

Motherboard- ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support ...

 

Processor- AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor

 

Ram- G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133

 

GPU- ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

 

CPU cooler- corsair h100i

 

HDD-  Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s (i have 120GB ssd) 

 

fans- 3x Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition

yes the corsair rm850 and a rosewill thor v2 case

10 bucks says you can't fit your motherboard and your CPU cooler in that case. That case is complete garbage for liquid cooling.

the cpu cooler will fit, ive measured and have seen it done and its a huge case they will both fit

I know from prior experience. I measured it out too.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1343837/the-kraken-x60/180 but it does look like an extremely tight fit.

I believe the Kraken is thicker than the H100I, i tested with an H100I. It didn't fit. The case you linked isn't the Rosewill Thor. 

 

Also notice that he doesn't have a large mosfet heatsinks OR have thermal armour on his board.

the kraken is 5mm thinner or thicker i forgot which one, but im not using stock fans, the corsair h110 fits in my case now

all the parts are being ordered on cyber monday and built for gaming/ doing college work.

around $900-$1000 but im only going with an amd based system
