Should I combine a 120gb ssd with a 1tb hdd or should I go for more ssd capacity ?

depends on how much you would use your space. Personally, I never use over 500gb, so I just use 500gb ssd.

Too expensive . I was thinking that if I went with a ssd , I would go with 250gb?

Your storage capacity is fine! A combination of an SSD and a HDD is good because then you have a lot of storage which is very important for storing games.

I personally use a 120GB SSD for my OS and programs and a different SSD for my games. But a 120GB SSD gets filled up fast if you want some of you most played games on it. I would buy a 250 SSD and then consider if you need more. 250GB ssd and a 1TB HDD is a good fit.
