Footage from my Hero 5 Session looks corrupted (green all over the place, stuttering) when viewed using VLC via SD card reader on a laptop, but is totally fine when viewed through the Capture app.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

have you tried using a different sd card?

transfer the file to your laptop/desktop then watch it on there. dont watch it directly from the sd card.

I have now bought a new SD card and tried it, but the same thing happens, even with transferring it to the laptop and using VLC instead of WMP.

Edit: I'm starting to think it might be an issue with the laptop's USB ports. They only detect devices sometimes, and have a few other issues. Unfortunately I won't have access to another laptop/PC for another three weeks :/.
