If you sell your xfx 6950, adding onto your budget of $400 to give you round about maybe 50-100 dollars you could get a 290.

Wait a while, they will probably release another cooler design as the reference one can barely handle the temperatures.

 

Just cause I finally have written "try a 290" so & so. Why do people like it ...I'm totally confused. :S

R9 280X for the AMD side and a GTX 770 for the Nvidia side.

This is also a great plan.
Also, NEVER buy an AMD reference card unless you're going to do watercooling.

Thank you guys! I'm steering towards a 280x but shadow play is a little too awesome :P

If you sell your card for some good money and stretch the budget, you can get a 780.
