Hdmi port won t work

Hello i recently bought a new pc and i get no signal on monitor when i plug in my hdmi  it doesn t work even if i plug it in my cpu neither in my gpu ,but when i plug the vga into my cpu slot i get signal in monitor and it s turns on .

i only have two cable a hdmi and vga and right now no possibility to buy another do u guys think its the hmdi cable problem or it s from my pc?

Try it with another, known working, display if you can. If it still doesn't work, replace the cable with a known working one. If it still doesn't work, it's your PC.

I don t have another monitor but i don t think it s from my monitor because it works with the vga

Did you try setting the monitor on hdmi input?

The monitor can have a bad HDMI port.

 

Alternatively use another HDMI output device.

On the monitor.There should be a button called "input" push that and see what happens. What monitor do you have?

Thank you very much i switched the input from vga to hdmi and it works
