wired mouse keeps disconnecting and reconnecting on desktop

I currently have this mouse. http://www.ttesports.com/Mice/155/TALON_Blu/productPage.htm?a=a&g=ftr#.WXamkbpFxhE . No matter what I do it disconnects and reconnects by itself, but I haven't seen it happen on my laptop. anone have a fix for this?
