It does NOT double your internet speed. You might see a tiny difference to internet speed.

What it does do though is double the connection speed to other LAN devices. So if you have a home media server or a home archive server for backing up critical files then doubling down on ethernet cables will indeed increase local transfer speeds.

Well only if you have the same dual cable system on the other devices as well...

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

Just to be clear, you would need a server operating system (Windows Server 2016 for example) to make use of the LAN teaming, also known as Link Aggregation. Windows 10 does not support it, older Windows versions probably also not (but I may be wrong).

Secondly, the switch or the router (depending on what you connect the motherboard to) must also be able to support Link Aggregation for it to function at all.

Thirdly, you will not get faster speed. Your outside speed is limited by your WAN connection and local network speed is limited to single link speed. The only benefit that you can get is if you have multiple clients connecting to that computer, then each client can use one or the other path, meaning all clients combined can use up to twice the bandwidth of one link, but every single client is limited to the speed of one link.
