RAM Uprade

Go to solution Solved by SquintyG33Rs,

when are you thinking of upgrading this? all in all it doesn't really matter you can buy a single 8 GB stick and have that in one channel with the two 4Gb sticks in the other. Or get another 2x4GB kit to fill all your slots. both will work identically for the same price, the only difference will be having an open slot or not.

So i have the msi b250m mother board (This has four dimm slots)

i also have 2x4gb ddr4 ram installed

i would eventually like to upgrade to 16gb of ram, how should i do it.

should i put another set of 2x4gb in, on more 8gb in or buy a whole new 16gb set completely

I realise i should of purchased 1x 8gb to start and add another one later.

want only 16g and want all the slots filled? 4x4gb

want 16g with it looking with two slots? 2x8g

want 24gb in total while being cheap? 2x4 + 2x8g

want 12g? 2x4g + 1x8g

doesnt matter as long as you get the same or faster ram

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.
