So I have been watching all of these review videos of Ryzen which seems to be load temps around 70+ on air, which got me thinking, so I checked out temps around the SKU stack from AMD and Intel and saw similar temps all around. Now here is my concern, I'm running a Phenom II x4 965 BE at 3.7ghz on the stock 4 heat pipe air cooler, and my max temps during games (GTA V mostly) is only hitting 57, does this seem legit or is there a possibility that my temps are reporting wrong?

Random Asus M series motherboard

Antec one hundred chasis

EVGA superNova 650 PSU (140mm exhaust fan bottom of case)

4gb x 2 Corsair vengence RAM

GTX 980 GPU blower style

7200 rpm Seagate barracuda

2x 120mm front inake fans

1x 140mm top exhaust fan

compare frame rates to the ones online to see if your chip is underperforming, is your chip is working normally even following his advice:

Welcome to the forums!

Download 'Speccy' to check temps. I also feel like those temps should be higher.

if temps are still low then overclock the hell out of that chip

Ill try that, I've been using 'fan speed' for temp monitoring maybe a software issue

i did just do a overclock search for that chip since it was mentioned and found this....wtf?

Reviews and any overclocking guides will use stress tests rather than just games. And those software will raise temps to max. So your temps under gaming might as well be correct (I haven't checked too much into Ryzens to know what average would be).
