Question regarding cable position

What about what @deXxterlab97 posted then?

What I said still applies. For example, in the eight-pin PCI Express power, three of the pins are 12V, four of the pins are ground, and one is a sense line (which actually is tied to ground). So you can swap around the three 12V lines all you want and it won't change a thing. Likewise you can swap around the four ground lines and it won't change a thing.

So again, you can swap the lines of any cable/pin as long as they're the same color.

Yellow wires carry power. Black wires are ground. You are free to swap yellows for yellows and blacks for blacks. Similarly for red and orange wires. Any other color should go back to its original spot.

This is assuming the cable is following standard convention.

Thanks for the help!
