They are comparable in main features, and diverge in arguably less important features (like onboard audio and USB3 implementation).

I seem to remember the Asus board was a bit more robust on the VRM side, but it's still not a heavy overclocking board.

Depending on the rest of your components, it may not matter much.

I have the ASUS motherboard and have no complaints (apart from only 1 16x PCIe slot)

Not sure how it would stand up to overclocking though.

The ASUS software is pretty good for setting up fan curves.

I edit my posts a lot.

Ok but it will take 2-3 months before I get to play games at higher settings and better frames

Silly me, I've jus seen your signature :P

I think both boards will be an upgrade from your previous board, and the Asus in particular may give you some extra OC headroom for the 6300.

People have gotten the 6300 working on certain bios with this am3 ROG board. Might be worth trying over either of those.

The shipping is way to damn high and just the shipping alone is almost my entire budget gone

Paypal? You should get that fixed before trying ebay.

You might want to wait and bid on auction items, sometimes I score stuff for almost nothing.
