Want a 770 usd max dollars laptop

I am on the market for a laptop that I need for mathematical modelling, basic tasks and light 1080p gaming (rocket league like).
I only care about having a nice large screen, good battery life and nice built quality. I want something to last at least 3 years.
Any advice will be useful, thank you. 
PS. I am not afraid of buying refurbished.

Check out some Dell Inspiron laptops. They're generally well built and offer a great value.

Check dell outlet for a refurb 7567. Make sure it has the ips screen.

There's a refurbished one right in your budget at $769 (before tax at least). This is cheaper than a new one, at $881. The GTX 1050 Ti is more than you need for Rocket League, but will open you up to newer games, and the laptop has better battery life than many laptops with lesser GPUs.

 

I don't advise going for any of the ones not specifying IPS for the display, unless you will (definitely) replace it yourself (similar quality IPS, better quality IPS). The default non-IPS display and the offered IPS display is this kind of difference.
