It is actually a really great card. Though I agree it will break a bank but if you want great FPS, temps and a quiet card then this is the way to go. Especially if you watercool it, you can get some great OC speeds. Though it has a lot of headroom to overclock even with just the stock cooling. In the end it depends on your money and choice. Good luck.

The MSI 680 would be great(I have MSI 660Ti and the cooler is awesome), but I also recommend the AMD 7970.

I am a Nvidia fanboy, but I gotta admit AMD really beat Nvidia this generation.

CPU: AMD 3950x Mobo: MSI B550 RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Asus 3080 Strix PSU: Superflower Leadex 3 720w Case: BeQuiet 500DX

Storage: 2TB SSD + 4TB HDD Audio: SMSL 793ii -> HiFiman HE-400 + Mission MS-50 Speakers

The Radeon HD 7950 is better performance at that price.

My 660Ti is awesome, runs great with pretty much any game, the MSI Twin Frozr cooler keeps temps under 65C all the time.

I was also debating going with the 7950, but I ended up going with the 660Ti, because my last GPU(550Ti) worked great.
