i need help picking a cpu

i wanna do gaming at 1080p and 1440p and stream on twitch or youtube / do contact creation like video editing ect i was thinking of getting a i7 7700k because i have a 1151 motherboard so idk whats better D=

What motherboard do you have, and what CPU are you upgrading from? A 7700K will work fine for the things you listed so long as your motherboard supports Kaby Lake.

Personally, Id suggest something with more cores like ryzen 7.  however, I can see why you wouldnt want to upgrade the MOBO.  If your current MOBO can overclock then the 7700k will probably be fine.

All the google results I can find point to this being an LGA 1150 socket motherboard, not 1151. a Kaby Lake CPU such as the 7700K will not fit in this motherboard because the socket is incompatible.

You already have a motherboard, then your choice is made.  I would avoid i5s since the core battles are heating up!

from what i heard the 7700k runs hotter then most cpus but ty for the help hmm anything intresting i should know about the 7700k cpu like can it handle multiple tabs, open, obs (streaming for twitch) ... game, 2 monitors, youtube music videos ect
