Laptop for programming and virtual machines

I need a laptop (preferably 15.6") for coding and virtual machines.
IPS display is a must.

 

Any good brand, model?.

A couple of laptops come to mind:

Dell XPS 15 (I think it has an IPS display)

Razer Blade

Gigabyte Aero 15 (Not sure if the keyboard issue of not being able to do Ctrl + shift + any key on the bottom row(z to ?) has been fixed)

 

Do you have a price range or a need for a discrete GPU?

i suggest waiting for ryzen laptops, with 8 cores and lots of cache that helps. Then its a matter of finding a laptop that has 4 ram slots so you can stuff 4x 16GB of ram. If you use SSDs, the config like alienware has is useful, other wise some laptops have 2 sata slots.

you could consider a clevo w650kk1 with a desktop cpu i7-7700 or a delidded i7-7700k
