Audio connector question

 So I'm having to use a crappy headset at work. Boss said it's fine for me to use my se215 with in line mic. Only problem is they use this weird tip?

 

Need an adapter.

Presumably the 'crappy headset' you've been using is single sided with a built in mic? does it end in that connector or is that an adapter you've already got?

 

The SE215 ends in a stereo 3.5mm jack, the one you've taken a picture of has a mono 3.5mm (probably for audio) and a mono 2.5mm jack (presumably for the mic). You may need to find something branded for the exact phone/VOIP set you use, what connections are available?

The pictures is of the single ear side headset connector. So the female version is what they have in the walkie talkies
