Hi,

So at home I have a WIFI modem (basically a router and a modem in one box) which we received from our internet provider. This thing has a television cable and a modem cable connected to it. It also has LAN ports and Ethernet ports just like any router does. However, the box simply cannot manage the amount of devices connected to it and when gaming, the experience is just trash. Sometimes carrying simple tasks on the internet and watching videos can last forever to load up. I was thinking to replace that one box with a separate modem and a powerful router thinking this would improve the internet at home. I don't have much understanding in this area, therefore I made this wild guess. Can someone help me with what I can do in order to have an alright signal throughout my house. I would appreciate your help. Thank you :)

Buy a separate router and use your the the other one that your ISP provided as a modem. How much are you willing to spend?

Yes I could get one from German amazon or maybe from retailers here in the Netherlands. I just have no idea which to get. And how will the cabling of this whole thing work?

So you get a LAN cable connect it to the "WAN" port from the new router to the modem.

Yes, the blue port is the "WAN" for the router.
