Is this Audio-Setup ok? :)

Go to solution Solved by ShearMe,

looks good! except the fiio e10 cant drive those headphones as far as i know. need a better amp i think

E10 works fine on the high gain setting.

Hey,

So after the last thread I wanted to pick up this Combo:

Dt 990s ,250 Ohm, Premium

Zalman ZM-MIC1

Fiio e10

Mainly Doing 60% Competetive Gaming 40% Listening to Music (Tho if i want to listen to music i want the sound to be really good) Genres:Mainly Rap,Hip Hop but also some electronic and a tiny bit of dubstep.

Also wanted to know from you guys if the 990s would be good for hearing footsteps  or for hearing details.

And if I would buy these 990s and the e10, would the e10 destroy any of these mentioned features or the surround sound in games (or the one from Razer)?

Thanks for your replys and sorry that im asking this im just a audio noob and want to be really sure to buy the right stuff because 300 Euros are much to me. :)

+1 I'd go for the e10 over the other 2 unless you needed them for going about town.... IMO a dt990 would be a bit awkward for doing walkabouts

Haha ok ,thanks :)

You don't need surround sound. Most games support surround sound instead of using a 3rd party program.

I would personally get the HD 598's. Because they sound really good, and because they're relatively low impedance (50Ω).

Intel Core i7-3770k @4.4GHz. 1.170V - Noctua NH-D14 - 8GB (2x4) G.Skill RipjawsX @1866 MHz. CL8 - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H - Samsung 840 250GB - XFX HD7970 DD GHz. @1125MHz - CM 690 II - Seagate Barracuda 2TB + WD RED 3TB - Corsair RM750X

 FiiO E10 - Sennheiser HD 598 - Edifier R1600T - Sony MHC-EX50 - Razer Blackwidow Ulitmate 2013 - Razer Deathadder 2013 - LG IPS237L - Dell P2314H - Philips 237EQPH - LG 47LB561V

DT 990 Pro should be about the same price - no reason to get the non-pro version.

Heared that the premiums sound better are more comfortable, not that much base, wider soundstage.(Better for Competetive Gaming).

Even if these elements are only minimal for me its worth the money as i won't upgrade my heaphones every year and want to get the best out of one buy.But still thanks for the reply.

That's not true...

The only real difference is in the build, so if you prefer the premium's slightly more extravagant build and want to spend the cash that's fine. Just want you to know all about what you're paying good money for. ;)
