Amazon International Purchases

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

Warranty will depend on manufacturer. Some have international policy where you can be in contact with local service provider. Others require you doing it with place of purchase. So sending in stuff at your own cost and it taking forever.

Safe delivery depends on shipping company being used and how much you are paying for shipping. Getting cheapest means if something happens, you are having hard time proving it was damaged during shipping to get shipping company or seller to refund or send new. More you pay, better insurance you get. Some shipping companies offer extra insurance for expensive stuff.

I'm living in Asia. If I bought something expensive like a laptop from Amazon how can I make sure It will deliver to my door safely? And If something happened how can I get the warranty? I think its not a good Idea to buy something from Amazon while living out of US, Europe or Canada.

Buying internationally is appealing due to lower prices but the hassle of warranty work is not worth the savings imo.
