Steam data caps removed?

Or at least raised. I've had 1 gigabyte Internet for a while now, but have never seen steam go above 25 mb/s consistently. Even when I had access to 3 gigabit internet, there was still that same can't go above 25mb/s. Today though, my down load speed was at a consistent 66mb/s and even when I did the same game download from steam on 3 different pcs on the same Internet they all did 66mb/s.

I believe there are hard caps set in place so you don't overload the Steam servers just by downloading. Remember,

tens of thousands of other people are using the same server as you are.

I have seen some pretty stupid fast speeds though. When I was on a 10 gigabit connection I was getting over 400MB/s. Way too fast for a HDD to handle

I'd imagine, quite ironically even, that the Chinese servers have less load than the majority of US servers. The Atlanta servers play nice with me. I get around 6.5-7.5MB/s on a 50(?)Mbps connection.

Glad I wasn't the only one to notice this. I've always been capped at around 15 or so MB/s but last time I downloaded something I got my full download speed.
