I've been trying for about 3 weeks to get a PC custom built but have ran into so many issues. My dad's friend build's computers for a living and right now he has no 1070 graphic cards in stock and hasn't got a re-stock date and now we find out he is short of a PCU and other components so if you guys could point me in the right direction in order to get a PC in the shortest possible time.

Budget: £1500 (GBP) = 1930$ (USD)

Specs that I want:

INTEL CORE I7-6700K QUAD CORE, 1151, 4.0 GHZ, SKYLAKE, 8MB CACHE, GEN 9 LP GFX

ASUS STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING, 8GB GDDR5, DVI, HDMI, 3X DP,1860MHZ OC MODE

(I'm willing to take other suggestions)

Thank you.

Who do I get to build the PC though? My dad want's me to get a warranty and the guy won't warranty unless he is the one operating the build.

And it's impossible to convince your dad that you can build one yourself? (If you can of course)

You can get warranties through companies. For example, your CPU is dead, go onto intels website and talk to them and deal with it. Another example, you drop your powersupply, well they won't warranty through that. I recommend that you call the companies and ask them about their warranties.

I am only 15 years old and I run a home server. I have it fully water cooled and I spent $57,000 on it. How did I learn? Linus.

Am only 15 y/o too, that is exactly what I meant, you can find out pretty much everything you need to know on youtube about hardware. If you're unsure if the build you've parted out is compatible and good, there's always friendly minded people in the community willing to help you out for free.

There are a number of merchants in the UK that will build a custom system and ship it to you with a warranty.

I know of two, https://www.alza.co.uk/custom-built-pcs- and https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/custom/pc/form-factors#anc. But I know nothing about the companies. Perhaps there are lurkers with more knowledge.

The thing is I've been waiting for at least 2 months to find out that the build is not able to be done due to there being a shortage on graphic cards unless you can recommend me a place that has 2 in stock!

Why 2?

Use uk.pcpartpicker.com to find merchants that offer various gpu. Many of those merchants provide real-time stock levels.

Here are three companies that you can look at:

Overclockers UK - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-systems

Gladiator PC (Aria) - https://www.gladiatorpc.co.uk/

Scan computers -  https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs
