The GTX 660 Ti is a pretty good card as it is. I had one before and I was pretty satisfied with it in the performance department (I had a lot of trouble with the fans on my gigabyte model, though and now I got my money back and will go for a GTX 760 from another manufacturer). I'd say if you wanna save some money but still upgrade an SLI setup with two of those would be a reasonable solution. I've seen a benchmark video somewhere on youtube where they said that it scales very well so that two of those even come close to a titan (it's been quite a while since I saw that so please don't nail me on that) - still lacking on the v-Ram department of course, which doesn't stack up, so you still only have 2GB VRAM at your disposal. You also have to deal with some issues on some games that don't support SLI - but the worst thing that could happen there is that you'd have to deactivate SLI and only have single card performance for that particular game. Also consider the cooling of your system - only go SLI if your system is well ventilated and if there is a free slot between the two cards - otherwise it'll get hot and loud but not in a good way. As it stands, though I think that the 660 Ti is still a pretty good performer.

Another budget oriented option would be an AMD R9 290(x) as soon as they release it with third party coolers. It's about 1/3 faster than a GTX 660 Ti and offers pretty good price to performance.

Oh damn, that sucks! I wish you the best of luck! As for your GPU - don't worry too much about it. It is and will be a good card in the future. You have a pretty beefy gaming rig all things considered.
